Spark-Knockers..wondering where we came up with this name, and what it means?
 
Well, it takes us back to a Hawaiian Vacation in 1995.  We were island hopping with
3 generations.  Us, the baby boomer's, my parents, and 2 of our teenage daughters.
 Our rental van was running badly, and my mother said it was spark knocking!  My
husband started laughing, and couldn't stop!  After much humor the comment was
made that someday he would open a business and name it spark-knockers.  

Well, that someday has finally arrived!  

The auto-repair meaning of spark knock is:  This is the pinging or rattling noise
sometimes heard during acceleration that indicates detonation is occurring inside
the engine.  Spark knock can be caused by a variety of things including using low
octane fuel, over-advanced ignition timing, or too much compression.
